A thorough education takes the Eastland student beyond a classroom setting and gives an opportunity to interact with others in a practical manner. Students carry these leadership roles further as they serve in their respective churches and in the community. Many former students have served on the Eastland staff. Presently nine are serving on staff, six as teachers.
Eastland students have received many regional and state honors.
Eastland students participate in various academic competitions with other schools in the areas of spelling, creative writing and fine arts. They have received many regional and state honors in FACCS competitions. In standardized achievement testing, ECS students perform at least one year above the national level.
